Research on Fluoride: (it’s not so good)
History of Fluoride Research (Nature 2021)
Fluoride doubles dementia risk (British Journal of Psychiatry 2020)
Meta-analysis of 16 studies on fluoride’s effects on IQ (Biological Trace Element Research 2008)
“In this study, maternal exposure to higher levels of fluoride during pregnancy was associated with lower IQ scores (3.66 to 4.49 on average) in children aged 3 to 4 years.”(Jama Pediatrics 2019)
Research on our ingredients: (they're good!)
“children who live in a fluorosis area have five times higher odds of developing low IQ than those who live in a nonfluorosis area or a slight fluorosis area.”
When you brush your teeth with fluoride you DO swallow it!:
“Ophaug et al. (1980, 1985) estimated the intake of fluoride by small children (2-4 years) to be 0.125-0.3 mg per brushing; a 2-year-old child brushing twice daily would ingest nearly as much fluoride from the toothpaste as from food and fluoridated drinking water combined (Ophaug et al. 1985). Levy and Zarei-M (1991) reported estimates of 0.12-0.38 mg of fluoride ingested per brushing. Burt (1992) and Newbrun (1992) reported estimates of 0.27” - from Fluoride in Drinking Water: A Scientific Review of the EPA’s Standards (2006)
